RAMADHAN AND EID CELEBRATION 2025

Alhamdulillah this year we managed to complete the month of Ramadhan from 2nd March to 31st March. At Nadi Muslim College the Islamiyat Department had organized a host of activities for the students such as:

  • Eid card design competition
  • Inter form Islamic Quiz competition
  • English essay competition
  • Urdu essay competition
  • Nazam recital competition
  • Ramadhan classroom corner display
  • Outstanding student of Ramadhan (male & female category)
  • Voluntary Quraan reading classes during recess break
  • Short videos posted on school facebook page about the essence of Ramadhan
  • A sadaqah (charity) drive whereby staff and students contributed cash which was used to

Make food vouchers for about 20 deserving students and their families

  • A total of 6 students participated in Fiji Urdu Teachers Association organized Ramadhan Sehri program aired on FBC Radio Fiji 2. Out of these, 3 students delivered a short speech each on various Islamic topics while the other 3 students recited nazams.

Class based Eid celebration

The class-based Eid celebration for the whole school was observed on Friday 11th April commencing at 8:30am. The Chief Guest for this event was Hafiz Dr. Osama Bin Khalid based at Darul Uloom Darul Yatama at Drasa Lautoka and a medical practitioner at the Emergency department of Aspen Lautoka Hospital. He was invited as the Chief Guest as he is a role model of secular and Islamic knowledge combined together. He delivered the message of Ramadhan and Eid as well as the spread of Dengue fever and drugs. This event also awarded the deserving students who participated and excelled in the wide range of Ramadhan activities organized by the Islamiyat Department with trophies, medals and certificates

Following this formal program, the students enjoyed Eid celebration in their respective classrooms with their form teachers. It was great to see the sharing and caring spirit amongst students of various cultural backgrounds. We thank the parents / guardians for supporting this initiative.
